I am a 36 year OLD Mom of three kiddos, ages 16, 8, and 6-two girls and a 'baby" boy. I am also married to my best friend. (lucky me!) We just bought a farm in June. We now live on almost 12 acres on a mountaintop and love every moment of it. I have a thing for birds and as such, we currently have 3 Peafowl, 4 Guineas, 5 domestic ducks, 8 chickens that are kept for their eggs, 11 chickens kept for pleasure that happen to lay now and then, and 1 Gold Capped Conure. We also have 2 evil kitties and 5 dogs.
As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, playing games together, and just being pals. Our kids are everything to me. I am a Mamma Bear when it comes to them. LOL
I love to knit, but concentrate on simple patterns because I feel that my relaxing hobby should be just that. I also enjoy making jewelry, dyeing yarn and fiber, and reading anything I can get my hands on. Chances are, you'll find me snuggled in my favorite chair, reading a book and listening to my iPod.
I was diagnosed with Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis over 10 years ago, so that really limits what I can do physically. I take it day by day and am blessed to have the most understanding and helpful husband around. He is my rock and he loves me like nobody's business.
We are self-employed and co-own a few big name tax offices. In the season, I work at the one closest to us, answering phones, helping clients, doing tax returns, and keeping DH organized and sane. LOL
I'm hoping to make this my regular blagh to brain dump, share my (many!) opinions, and as a book reviewing site. I just signed up with a site to review books and hope I get accepted. I cannot think of anything better suited to me than reviewing books!
